Good morning, friends!  If you’re a southern girl like me, you’ll understand my rant.  We do not have seasons in Houston!  This means tank tops up until November, cut-offs all year round and maxis in December.  However, you don’t have to be from the south to be able to transform your favorite maxi into a winter look.

Today I’m sharing my favorite maxi from The Stylish Orchid.  Seriously, how gorgeous is this sage green during December?  A break from that go-to holiday red (which a happen to love).  During this time of the year it’s all about layering!  In Houston, this wasn’t necessary but I loved pairing this maxi with my go-to Balenciaga moto jacket to make this look practical for cooler temps.  You can also layer up by adding a mid-weight wool sweater over the maxi, creating a skirt-like effect, a light-weight cardigan, or by wrapping up with your favorite scarf and a great pair of OTK boots.  The options are endless.
