Hi guys!

Happy Wednesday!  If you’ve been following me then you’ll recognize this pink pom pom sweater from Chic Wish that I’ve worn all month!  Since Houston weather has been all over the map, I imagine that you’ll see me wearing this until it actually feels like spring outside!  It’s my new favorite by far and I receive compliments on it each time I wear it.  It’s back in stock, currently 24% off and if you apply promo code VA5 you can get $5 off your order!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Casual Chic with Evereve

February 12, 2019

Happy Tuesday. friends!

I can’t believe we’re already into the second week of February… it seems like we just were celebrating the start of 2019!  Things have been crazy busy over here… it seems I’m out of town one weekend and B is the next, and we keep missing each other!  I decided to solve that problem this week by packing up the family and tagging along to his most recent work trip to Charleston.  So, here we are!

I’ve been super excited to share this look with you guys!  If you’re constantly on the go, whether it’s chasing babies around, running errands or looking to spend a weekend in causal wear- you must own a pair of these Spanx leggings from Evereve.  I mean it, you need these in your life ladies!  Not only are the comfortable but they’re extremely flattering and suck everything in!  I’m obsessed with all things heart + love related so I paired it with this adorable Love Game Changer tee from Evereve.  I wore this to travel in on Sunday and will be repeating it on my way home!  Another plus- it’s currently on sale.  A win/win in my book!

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great week!

xx

Valentine’s Day with Evereve

February 6, 2019

Hi, friends!  First things first.  Can you believe Valentine’s Day is only a week away?!  If you’re in a panic to find the perfect outfit, fret no more!  I’m sharing this  adorable blush moto jacket from Evereve that is perfect for a brunch date with the girls or a dinner and movie date with your guy.  It’s quickly become my favorite spring jacket and it’s lightweight enough to wear throughout the season, not to mention it’s the softest jacket that I own.  Blush can pass as a neutral in my book and it’s one of my go-tos if I want to wear something that’s a little more fun and feminine.  I paired it with these AG legging ankle jeans from Evereve that look good with just about anything and are so slenderizing!  Every girl needs one great pair of skinny jeans, and these are my far the best I’ve ever owned.  Both of these pieces are staples that every girl needs in her closet.  Keep an eye out for all the ways I incorporate these two into my every day wardrobe.

As always, thanks for stopping by friends!

the little leopard print dress

January 29, 2019

If you guys have been following me awhile, then you know I’m loving the leopard print trend.  Well, I have news… it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!  Animal print is such a fun, chic trend and it’s easier to wear than you think.  One piece can make a strong statement.  If you’re new or hesitant to animal print, my advice would be to start small.  It’s so versatile that you can wear it boldly or be a minimalist, yet still appear trendy.

Today I’m sharing this leopard print tunic dress from Red Dress Boutique that has become a regular in my wardrobe.  The best thing about this dress is that you can style it up with leggings underneath or layer it with a jacket or coat, or wear it as a dress with some black OTKs.  I paired it with these black moto leggings and some booties.  Since the weather has been a little crazy here in Houston, I threw on a simple, clean denim jacket to complete my look.  So cute and so easy!

As always, thank you for stopping by!

The Best Spring Sweater

January 21, 2019

Happy Monday, friends!  I’m so excited to share this adorable pink Fuzzy Hearts Chicwish sweater with you guys, especially since it’s been on repeat this month.

January is typically one of those transitional months when it comes to fashion.  It’s still too cold to wear those adorable spring dresses and too warm to wear those trench coats or puffer jackets.  My simple solution:  fun, colorful sweaters!

I’m loving the wide selection of ChicWish’s sweaters, particularly the ones from their Valentine’s Day Collection, Wearing My Heart.  The quality is amazing– this sweater is super plush and soft.  Add it with ankle jeans, white skinny jeans or a white skirt and some white booties and you’ll be set.  I added these fun heart shaped sunnies that I got for $9 on Amazon for a fun, light-hearted look (see what I did there!?).

As always, thank you for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great week!

the trendiest jumpsuit

January 11, 2019

Happy Friday friends!!  I can’t believe its already been a week since my girls trip to Charleston.  We had way too much fun and came back pretty sleep deprived… ironically the one thing I thought I’d get on this trip was sleep since it was the first time for me to be away from my babies!!  I guess when you stick four girls into one hotel room, no one sleeps!  We stayed up all night chit-chatting and learned so many things about each other that we promised to never share- HA!

I’m so excited to share this denim Paige jumpsuit with you guys.  I wore this look the first day out in Charleston and got so many compliments on it.  The crop leg makes you feel instantly up-to-date with today’s trends and the straps allow you to adjust to your preference.  I paired it with my latest love– this Free People crop top that I now own in all 4 colors.  You can’t beat the price and it’s so versatile.  I’m still loving the white bootie trend and with Spring creeping around the corner, it isn’t going anywhere.  You can find several reasonably priced ones here.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend before hubby heads out of town on Sunday.

athleisure

August 8, 2018

I’m all about fashion being simple and easy these days.  If you’re a fan of the athleisure look then this Adidas dress (similar) needs to be in your life.  As a new mommy (of 2!) I literally live in this dress.  It’s comfortable, easy to throw on in a quick minute and super cute- a win/win.  I usually throw on any sneakers nearby these days (another prime example of mom life) but I happened to pair this with my Superstars.  I’ve worn this dress to run errands, grab last minute coffee with friends… if you know me then I’m sure you’ve seen me in it!  xx

A Maternity Favorite

April 25, 2018

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3113498″]

Hey guys!

I can’t believe it’s been 5 weeks since I’ve had Baby James!  What a month it’s been!!  Baby boy is doing much better and we’re so thankful for all of your prayers and kind words.  With that said, last week I had to have emergency surgery on my appendix so things around here have been a little slow.  I’m grateful to have such sweet friends and family that have kept me sane during this crazy month!  Thank you guys for your patience and for understanding that this mama was a little too occupied with ‘life’ to tend to social media.

I’m just getting around to update y’all on a few of my favorite maternity looks during my third trimester.  I have to share one of my favorite maternity maxis from Pink Blush with you pregnant mamas.  All of my maxis this pregnancy have been from Pink Blush because of the quality and comfort.  I’ve learned the hard way that quality isn’t something you can skimp on when it comes to maxis (in general!).  I posted earlier this exact maxi in green here.  You can see my mild obsession.  I love that I can wear this postpartum, too because who has time to shop when you have a newborn?!

Shop my exact maxi dress at Pink Blush here.

Thank you guys again for all of your love and patience and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Little Black Maternity Dress

March 23, 2018

Happy Friday!!

Hi friends!  Baby James has officially arrived!  He made his appearance on Sunday morning and it was quite the show.  I’ll share more of my story on his delivery next week, along with some pictures from our hospital shoot. Today I’m sharing this adorable little black maternity dress that I’ve worn to my last two events.  The only regret I have is wishing I would’ve had this dress earlier, because it would’ve grown with me!  I wore it the majority of my third trimester (I ordered a medium for reference) and got tons of compliments on it.  If there’s one thing I’ve learned while pregnant, it’s that you need a great LBD!

You can shop more LBDs by Pink Blush here.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

SHOP MY LOOK

Ivory Mesh Overlay Maternity Dress | Free People Hat (similar) | Necklace (Similar) | Jeffrey Campbell Booties

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3061945″]

Hi guys!

It’s finally feeling like Spring here in Houston and you know what that means… it’s Rodeo time! I debated whether or not to take Olivia to her first rodeo this year, but with a nine month pregnant belly it just didn’t sound as fun. Plus, I’d be chasing her around all over the place! I’ll save that idea for next year when she’s a little older and can enjoy it more.

Now onto my look. I couldn’t think of a better maternity dress to wear than this ivory mesh overlay dress by Pink Blush. The material is so breathable (because at 38 weeks pregnant, that’s important!) and I know I’ll get plenty of wear out of it after pregnancy too. Not to mention it’s just $55, so to me it’s a steal! I paired it with a floppy hat by Free People and my go-to booties with a bit of a western flare. Rodeo ready and one happy mama!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
