Baby James Sprinkle

February 13, 2018

I usually don’t share personal things on my blog, but I’m trying to change it up a bit and share more of my ‘real life’.

On Saturday, my sister and mom showered me in the most special way – we celebrated the (soon-to-be arrival) of Baby James.  I cannot believe that I’m actually 35 weeks pregnant.  This pregnancy has been completely opposite than my pregnancy with Olivia.  I had a lot more energy, felt better, was a lot more active and slept better when I was pregnant the first time around.  This second time has thrown me for a loop to say the least!  That said, I feel so blessed to be able to experience this incredible moment and realize how much of a gift pregnancy truly  is.  Sharing some of my favorites from the Sprinkle.  How adorable are the decorations my sister made?

Thank you for stopping by!

It’s a…

October 4, 2017

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that we’re expecting a baby boy in March!  Just when I felt I had this girl mom thing down, too.  That said, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our little man in a mere 5 months!  Olivia has the sweetest heart so I know they’ll be the best of friends growing up together.  We can’t wait to watch her become a loving, big sister.  We feel so absolutely blessed to be expecting our little miracle.  We found out the gender earlier last week and it’s been so hard keeping it a secret!

I’m so thankful to say that I’ve been feeling well and I’m happy to have graduated from the first trimester.  I’ve gradually gotten my energy back, but being pregnant while chasing an one-year-old around is no joke!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and for stopping by!  I’m so excited to be sharing this journey with y’all.

Lily Rain Lace Halter Dress | Prada Clutch (in light grey) | Christian Louboutin Heel | Kendra Scott Bracelet | Tory Burch Studs

Hello, friends!

Let’s be honest… it’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. While it’s super lame on my end, I have no excuse other than ‘mom life’. That said, if I’m not constantly updating on here it means I’ve been extremely busy in my real life! However, I do need to get better about posting updates. From here on out, I’ll be updating at least once a week and letting you guys in on what’s been going on over here whether it’s interesting or not… This will include all things fashion-wise, mommy-wise, real-life-wise… you name it! Did I mention we’re about the start the building process? So expect exciting updates on that as well!

Today I’m sharing this beautiful blush lace halter dress from Lily Rain. This look is perfect for a ladies luncheon, wedding guest dress, to wear to your bestie’s baby shower… the options are endless! I dressed it up with my Prada clutch and nude Louboutin’s. Also, I’ll be sharing some exciting new partnership ventures that I’ll be doing with Lily Rain in the near future!

Hope you’re having the best week!!

Ronica’s Baby Book of First Years

This sweet memory book is a must-have for a parent-to-be.  Keeping track of your little one’s special moments is something that you’ll cherish forever.  There’s so many options out there, but I narrowed it down to this little keepsake and cannot wait to document our little one’s special moments.  What sealed the deal on Ronica’s Our Little One’s First Years was the fact that the photo format size is practical (most being 4 x 6 and 5 x 7), while a lot of other memory books have a polaroid or a square-sized template for your photos.  I also love that this particular book lets you document special memories up to 5 years old!  From baby’s first holidays to baby’s first day of school– this memory book covers it all.  Another fun addition are the monthly stickers in the back– everyone is partaking in this precious trend right now!  There’s also a My Keepsakes envelope placed on the very last page for baby’s hospital bracelets, hair, first tooth– you name it!  I think it’s safe to say that this little memory book has it all.  😉

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

If you’re out celebrating in the sun I’m a little jealous– it’s currently storming + flooding in the Houston area.  🙁  So while I’d much rather be sitting by a pool tanning my belly, I’m stuck indoors working on blog stuff.  At least I’m being more productive, right?!

As much as it’s storming outside right now, this crummy weather isn’t going to put a damper in my style!  How cute is this embroidered tunic dress by Isabel Marant?  Personally, I think Isabel Marant can do no wrong… Her pieces are a splurge, which makes me even happier to announce that this dress is currently marked down 40% off.  Yes.  You’re welcome.  So grab one before they sell out!!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend!

With Spring here and Summer already on my mind, it’s no surprise that I’ve been living in dresses that have a lighter, beachy feel to them.

One designer that does just that is Isabel Marant, and I’m loving her more casual Etoile line.  With my belly on-growing, I find I’ve been investing in pieces that I’ll be able to wear throughout these next 4 months.  This feminine, embroidered dress is a piece that I’ll be able to wear during and after pregnancy.  I’m also here to admit that I’ve had a tassel necklace problem for a couple of years now- and how cute is this steal from Anthropologie?  I completed my look with my go-to Celine Tote and Jeffrey Campbell peep toe booties.  Now if only the sun would come back out in Texas!

Hope you all had a fab weekend and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Hi friends!

First off, I know I’ve been MIA this past month… If you noticed my baby announcement post a few weeks ago you’ll realize that these first few months haven’t been too fun for me!  That said, at 17 weeks along I’m finally starting to feel a lot better.  So it’s catch-up time for me and what perfect timing– SPRING is here!

Today I’m sharing this adorable, bohemian inspired embroided shift dress.  White has been all the rage this Spring, and I’m loving the carefree, easy look of this dress from Lulu’s.  I’ve paired it with my current go-to Jeffrey Campbell peep toe booties (see previous post for a closer look), and this suede cross-body bag from Francesca’s.  Easy, versatile and Spring-friendly.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Kamalikulture Wide-Leg Jersey Jumpsuit | INKMADE Mustan Scarf | Tory Burch Wrap Bracelet | Tory Burch Earrings | Jeffrey Campbell WedgesCeline Tote

Hi, friends!  It’s been a few weeks!  Between traveling and catching a cold, January made for a pretty crazy month!

Today I wanted to share with you an amazing company that spreads love by giving back.  A little about these philanthropic artisans:  INKMADE designs a fashion-forward line using textiles inspired by historical + modern architectural elements from around the world.  Even more inspiring – a portion of the company’s proceeds go towards funding health and education facilities throughout Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Karachi.  Please do yourself a favor and read more about this awesome company here.

My look:  I’m swooning over this black and white geometric scarf.  I can literally pair it with anything and the fabric (70% modal, 30% silk) makes it a fashionable, year-round accessory.  I’m wearing a wide-leg jumpsuit from Nordstrom and Jeffrey Campbell wedges.  I cannot wait to accessorize with this scarf and incorporate it into more looks.

Giving back is always in style!

Only one week left til Christmas… Eek!  I still have so much to do!

Today I’m sharing this amazing poncho that’s less than $40!  Seriously, a steal.  I’ll be linking several other reasonable ones as this particular style goes in and out of stock quickly.  I love pairing these with skinny jeans and a great tee, or leggings and a over-sized tunic.  Ponchos give a  more causal look but can go with just about anything.  Another tip: I love throwing this piece in my bag and using it as my own personal blanket when I travel.
